Dear Colleagues,
We would like to express our strong support for the European University at St Petersburg. We hope and expect that its current difficulties will be resolved in the best possible way and will allow us to benefit from its skills and to share knowledge with EUSPb huge amount of highly valuable students.
Since its creation, our scientific research centers at the Higher School of Social Sciences in Paris (EHESS) developped strong ties and cooperation with scholars from the European University in Saint-Petersburg. Scientific ties developed with researchers from the Center for Russian, Center-European and Caucasian Studies (CERCEC – EHESS/CNRS), from the Interdisciplinary Laboratory for the Study of Reflexivities (LIER – EHESS/CNRS) and the Centre for Jewish Studies (CRH) at the EHESS among others. We consider academic contribution of EUSP colleagues to be essential to our own social science and humanities programs. Our academic interests specifically overlap in diverse fields of social sciences including Political Sociology, History, Sociology of religions.
We are cooperating with the academic community at EUSPb, composed of highly regarded professionals and colleagues who are conducting original research projects, and contributing to cooperative exchanges with vast scholarly erudition. Through academic presentations, conferences, and workshops we have organised together, in Petersburg or in Paris, we have come to know the solid body of academic work produced at EUSPB and we greatly respect the rich academic skills of our Russian colleagues. We are willing to pursue the collaborations already engaged and are looking forward to further cooperations.
We hope that the current challenges will be overcomed and that the EUSPb will continue its educational and research activities in the future for the benefit of the wider local, regional, and international academic community.
