MARIA TROFIMOVA SPEAKS ON ACADEMIC FREEDOM IN EUROPE

On Wednesday, September 12, 2018, Dean of EUSP International Programs Maria Trofimova presented her views on the topic of Academic Freedom in Europe at EAIE conference in Geneva. She discussed an important distinction between academic freedom and institutional autonomy, threats to academic freedom from outside and from within academia, and importance of international academic solidarity.

Nina Poussenkova is the Senior Research Fellow, Institute of World Economy and International Relations, (IMEMO), Russian Academy of Sciences and the chair of the Carnegie Moscow Center's Economics and Energy Policy Program. Her research focus is on National Oil Companies, with particular attention paid to Rosneft. She will seek to dispel myths about how national oil companies function and seek to give a more realistic picture about the decision making structures of national oil companies. RUSSIAN FOREIGN POLICY: MORE CHANGE TO COME?

Tuesday, April 5, 17:30, EUSP Golden Hall, Fyodor Lukyanov, Editor-in-Chief of Russia in Global Affairs, will deliver a public lecture. Russian foreign policy is closely connected both to domestic political needs and dynamics of external situation. Both those factors are now rapidly developing. Domestic consolidation is solid, but lacks long-term vision, while international trends are out of anybody's control. Next couple of years will be decisive both in terms of global power constellation and in the context of Russian external vectors.

Online course “RUSSIA'S GAS STRATEGY”

The registration for the first online course “RUSSIA'S GAS STRATEGY” launched at the Stepic platform is opened. Irina Mironova, senior lecturer of the ENERPO program recorded 23 lessons on the global enery market and the place of Russia. The course will last from April 18 till June 13. Participation is free of charge but preliminary registration is required.

The ENERPO program has hosted an experts' round table on "Pan-European Energy Security in the Post-Ukraine Crisis: Future Scenarios and Possible Solutions" in collaboration with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. The program has hosted international high caliber experts with different backgrounds and of different nationalities to discuss the current hot topics related to continental energy security—security of demand, transit and supply.
