Activities of the Investigative Bodies and Their Results".

Since 2000, Natalia Potapova has been working with the European University at St. Petersburg. The sphere of her research interests includes the history of Russia in the era of classicism, and the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. She has been engaged in the study of the reception of European texts in Russia. One of her projects is devoted to the politics and pragmatics of translations. In her dissertation, Natalia Dmitrievna showed the strategies and pragmatics of falsifying the case of the "Decembrists", a protest refracted during the investigation through the prism of a conspiracy theory. The culture of working with historical sources and interdisciplinary methods of their analysis have been the subject of her research and teaching interests for many years.

Her scholarly interests also include the criticism of historical knowledge. Natalia Dmitrievna has participated in several international projects devoted to the criticism of modern historical knowledge, and is the author of many publications that explore the logical, moral and ideological foundations of the ways of representing the historical past in school history textbooks, modern mass media, and academic historical journals.
