In 2023, the Swedish National Bank's Alfred Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences was awarded to the American economist Claudia Goldin of Harvard University for "advancing our understanding of women in the labor market."

The CbondS Review published an article by Yulia Vymyatnina, a professor in the EUSP Department of Economics, about Goldin’s work, work which “dispelled some myths about women’s participation in the labor market and helped explain the persistent wage gap between men and women.”
