On Monday, October 7, 2019, EUSP hosted a representative delegation from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (Doha, Qatar) and the Embassy of Qatar in Moscow. The head of the delegation Prof. Emad El-Din Shahin, Interim Provost and Dean of the College of Islamic Studies presented the university and noted that EUSP and HBKU have much in common. Both postgraduate schools are relatively young and dynamically developing. HBKU is a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development. The university is organized in six colleges (Islamic Studies, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Engineering, Law, Public Policy, and Health and Life Sciences) and three national research institutes in the field of environment and energy research, biomedical research, and computing research.
EUSP Rector Vadim Volkov presented the academic programs and main fields of research at EUSP. He confirmed Prof. Shahin's confidence in the prospects of bilateral cooperation between our educational institutions. Faculty members of both universities had a good opportunity to meet personally and discuss possible ways of cooperation in a more detailed way.
