EUSP Summer School in Russian Studies: new friends, new experience

Traditional Summer School in Russian Studies "Russia & Beyond" gathered students from Europe and the USA. During the two weeks in July 2015, our guests had classes on campus and also discovered the city and magnificent suburbs of St. Petersburg.  

Prof. Nikita Lomagin offered a comparative look at the making and implementation of Russian Foreign Policy after the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Prof. Sergei Podbolotov introduced the role of St. Petersburg in Russian History.

Prof. Alfrid Bustanov analyzed together with students the competition between the expanding Russian Islamic language and the national traditions of speaking about religious matters.
