On 5-6th May 2012, EUSP's Gender Studies Program, with the sponsorship of Novartis International AG, hosted an international seminar, dedicated to the fifteenth anniversary of the program.
The seminar covered the following topics:
• Theoretical understandings of care in contemporary society
• The everyday and practices of care
• Care routines for dependent members of the family (children and the elderly)
• Globalisation and care chains
• Dilemmas of institutionalization and informal care
• Commercialisation and professional care
• Medical and reproductive care
The seminar concluded with a round table discussion surrounding the topic of "The development of gender studies in 1997-2012"
