The European University (EU), in my opinion, is a unique educational institution that allows people who already received their first degree to realise their creative and professional potential in their chosen field of specialisation or, as it happened to me, in a related field. It was here that my fundamental mathematical knowledge naturally found its application in such an applied domain of human activity as economics. The Department of Economics at the EU is that rare place where one finds a surprising combination of high professionalism of instructors, student curiosity and diligence, and even a friendly, almost family-like atmosphere.
