Wojciech Charemza, Professor of Economics, University of  Leicester.

Wojciech Charemza studied economics at the University of Gdansk, Poland, where he received his degrees: Master (1972), Doctor (1975) and Doctor Habilitatus (1981). Prior to moving to Leicester in 1987 he worked at the Centre for Russian and East European Studies at the University of Birmingham (1983-1987) and the University of Gdansk, Poland (1971-1983). He is the Managing Editor of Economics of Planning and Associate Editor of Economic Modelling. He is also a Member of the International Advisory Board for the European University at St. Petersburg , Russia, Member of the Advisory Committee to the Gdansk Institute for Market Economies and a Resource Person to the Economics Education and Research Consortium, Russia. In 2003 he was awarded the Leverhulme Trust Study Abroad Fellowship.
