The authoritative agency Round University Ranking (RUR) has published the results of its annual study — the world subject ranking of universities for 2022 for "Arts and Humanities".
It includes 69 universities from Russia, the best of which is recognized as the Lomonosov Moscow State University. In second place is Tomsk State University, in third place is St. Petersburg State University.
The European University ranks 11th in the ranking of Russian universities, improving last year’s result. In 2021 we were in 12th place.
The ranking is based on four main indicators: the quality of teaching, research, international activities and financial stability.
In addition to the humanities, RUR traditionally publishes university rankings in five more subject areas: the natural sciences, technical sciences, medicine, and social and life sciences.
