On 17 May executive director of the ENERPO Research Center Maxim Titov took part in the round-table «EU of the future. A closer look at the eve of European Parliament elections».
Main purposes of the event were to understand the concrete developments of the European Union during the past 5 years, with a view to the upcoming European elections, provide in-depth views on EU processes and outputs in various areas as well as assess progress actually achieved, with regard to EU policy priorities and expectations of European Union citizens.
Apart from abovementioned topics, the participants of the round-table including Deputy Head of EU Delegation to Russia, Consuls General of EU countries in St. Petersburg and experts and professors from various universities of St. Petersburg discussed the EU perception among the Russian public, challenges of climate change and sustainable development as well as features of the energy policy.
