Nikita Bashnin: Winner of the 2015 competition for State Support of Young Russian Scholars

The President of the Russian Federation’s Grants Council for State Support of Young Russian Scholars—Candidates of Sciences and for State Support of Russian Scientific Schools has announced its 2015 grant winners. EUSP Department of History graduate (2010) Nikita Bashnin was awarded a grant in the field of social sciences and the humanities for his work titled “Khozyaistvennoe osvoenie Russkogo Severa v XVI-XVII vv.: po materialam Volgogradskogo arkhiereiskogo doma i severnykh monastyrei [The Economic Development of the Russian North in the XVI-XVII Centuries: Based on Material from Volgograd Archbishop’s House and Northern Monasteries,” carried out in St. Petersburg Institute of History, Russian Academy of Sciences.
