Professor Nikita Lomagin spoke at the session "The Role of Gas in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals", organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in together with the International Gas Union. The round table discussed how gas can help achieve the Goals for the sustainable development, and in particular Goal No. 7.
The natural gas can play a decisive role in providing access to energy. About 2.7 billion people, or 40% of the world's population, still do not have access to clean fuels and cooking technologies. In addition, increasing the share of natural gas in total primary energy production can help accelerate the rate of energy efficiency.
Executive Director of the ENERPO RC Maxim Titov spoke at the session "Creating an Economic Model for Energy Efficiency: Government-Industry Cooperation" organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe jointly with UNIDO and the Copenhagen Center for Energy Efficiency. The UNECE sent a letter expressing gratitude to Maxim Titov.
