Contradictions in the Ethnocratic City: Globalization, Urbanity and Creeping Apartheid in Israel/Palestine

 Professor Yiftachel is known as one of the chief political experts on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict, as a specialist on the ethocratic regimes in comparative perspective and as a noted scientist in the field of critical urban studies. He has recently studied the ethnocratic cities of the Middle East, Sri Lanka, Australia and Estonia. In his talk at the EUSP professor Yiftachel will concentrate on the problem of reflection of ethnocracy in the urban planning policy in Israel and Palestine.
