Research on the relationship between health and formal education has a long history in health economics. Educated individuals are healthier—consensus on this issue is considered achieved. How does an individual’s genetic data, which can be used in predicting educational success, interacting with socioeconomic status determine an individual’s health in young adulthood?

Peter Savelyev (College of William & Mary and IZA), will talk more on genetics and health in the framework of the seminar.

A detailed abstract of Peter Savelyev's research is available here. The Seminar will be held in English.
