The Center for Eurasian Studies opened at the European University last September. We spoke with its director, Igor Khodachek, about what has been achieved in just over a year, why the center was created, and what educational initiatives it is already implementing (and planning for the near future).

The work is based on data from the Monitoring of Activities of Higher Education Institutions, the "Vuzopedia" resource, and a series of expert interviews with representatives of the sector.

Yulia's research focuses on the phenomenon of "pedagogical shift work" in the North: the migration of teachers to Salekhard and their daily work and life in the conditions of an Arctic city.
The Rector of the European University, Vadim Volkov, gave an interview to "Rektor Govorit!" (The Rector Speaks!), an expert publication on higher education. The scholar discussed the mission of EUSP, its new objectives, the educational process, the endowment fund, what constitutes literacy in 2025, and also how subcultures emerge within the academic community.
The project's goal is to analyze and describe how rural governance is structured in two regions of Russia in the mid-2020s, taking into account the general political and local rural context. The aim is to understand how village residents obtain material and symbolic resources and what role the rural administration or other agents of authority play in this process.
