On March 27, 2017 the 9th Arbitration Appeal Court considered the complaint of the European University at St. Petersburg against the Moscow Arbitration Court decision of February 10, 2017. The court has adjourned the case hearing until April 13, 2017.

Court Revokes License of One of Russia's Best Private Universities

An arbitration court has revoked the licence of European University at St. Petersburg, one of Russia’s best private institutions of higher learning, upholding a decision by Rosobrnadzor, the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science, according to the university's website.

COURT HEARING NEWS, March 20, 2017

The Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and Leningrad oblast ordered today to revoke the license of the EUSP. The University intends to appeal the order. The decision will come into force only after the appeal hearing.

Pulkovo Airport - Infrastructure Business Project

On Monday, March 13, 2017 the EUSP hosted a talk delivered by Vladimir Yakushev, CEO of the "Northern Capital Gateway" (VVSS) consortium, which operates the Pulkovo airport. For the Russian aviation sector the consortium is an innovative project of public-private partnership. Yakushev spoke about the aims and objectives of the project, elaborating on its economic aspects in more detail.

On January 9, 2017 the European University at St. Petersburg had appealed to the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast with a claim against the Committee for Property Relations.

US-based alumni gathered in Washington, DC

On Saturday 25th February, a group of US-based alumni gathered in Washington, DC for the inaugural event of the EUSP Alumni Association North America. We were joined by Maria Trofimova, Dean of International Programs, and Professor Gevorg Avetikyan. We met at City Tap House, a bar in Chinatown, for an evening of good food and lively conversation.  After the event, the conversations continued outside the bar and down the street, as alums caught up with old friends and forged connections with new friends.

THE FUTURE REMAINS: Revisiting Revolution

A season of events marking the centenary of the Russian Revolution is organized in partnership with the State Hermitage Museum, the European University at St Petersburg and UCL School of Slavonic and East European Studies supported by the Vladimir Potanin Foundation. As part of the series of events a round-table discussion took place on March 1 in London chaired by Maxim Bouev, Head of the Department of Economics of the European University, St Petersburg.
