On Monday, September 16th EUSP will host Timothy Nutter, American theatre director, to discuss how to talk about climate change in the theatre.

Timothy Nutter is a theatre director from Davis, California. His performance group, the Art Theater of Davis, produces classic works of comedy and drama, often in original translation. His directing credits with ATD include Molière’s The Impromptu at Versailles, Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya, Three Sisters and The Seagull, Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler, Strindberg’s Playing with fire, Pinter’s The Collection, Pirandello’s The License and Coward’s Hay Fever. His choreography has been shown in New York at the Neuberger Museum of Art and in San Francisco with Dancer's Group.

A graduate of Antioch College, where he studied political philosophy, Timothy also studied history of philosophy at Villanova University, philosophy of biology at Exeter University and dance at the Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase. His current devised work aims at bringing community theater into dialogue with changing California landscapes, particularly those recovering from drought and fire.
