 A series of lectures on urban technologies organized by the STS Center will take place on May 12-13, 2016 at the EUSP and The New Stage of Alexandrinsky Theater. Three speakers from England – Sophie Watson (Open University), Hannah Knox (UCL), and Penelope Harvey (University of Manchester) – will give talks on urban infrastructures regarded as sociomaterial systems supporting city life. City waters, carbon emissions, and roads will become key subjects of discussion.

May 13, 18:00 ROADS: state, expertise, infrastructure. Penelope Harvey, Professor of Social Anthropology, University of Manchester. European University at St. Petersburg, Golden Hall. Admission -- free.
