14-15 мая 2009 года центр провел международную конференцию, приуроченную к 500-летию битвы при Аньяделло, когда Венеция, господствовавшая в то время итальянская республика, проиграла войну Камбрейской лиге. По некоторым историческим версиям, после этой битвы и последующих событий, венецианский республиканский опыт стал известен всей Европе, что положило начало континентальной республиканской традиции, оказавшей влияние на политическую мысль Европы на несколько веков вперед.
