The 5th European Workshop on Political Macroeconomics (EWPM) was supposed to take place on 20-22 May 2020 at the Department of Economics of the European University at St. Petersburg, Russia. A call for papers has been circulated and posted (see the link below). We had to postpone the 5th edition of our European Workshop on Political Macroeconomics to 5-7 September 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. Unfortunately, the pandemic is still far from over. We have therefore decided to hold this year’s workshop in the online mode, and move the meeting in St Petersburg to next year.
The workshop aims to bring together researchers working on topics at the intersections of political economy, macroeconomics, and institutional economics (both theoretical and empirical contributions). The dates of the online workshop this year are 5-7 September 2021. We start with an evening social session on the 5th and continue with presentations and discussions on the 6th and 7th. As in previous years, the workshop also features an open session to discuss plans for new research and to explore opportunities for collaboration.
