Ted Gerber

Ted Gerber received his Ph.D. in Sociology in the University of California-Berkeley, 1995

Since 2005 he has been Professor in the Department of Sociology in University of Wisconsin-Madison. Since 2001 he has served as Consultant Social Statistics and Survey Research in Russia, Center for Strategic International Studies. In 2011-2012 he held a position of Visiting Professor Center for Advanced Research in the Social Sciences, Juan March Institute. He was the Director Center for Russia, East Europe, and Central Asia, University of Wisconsin-Madison (2007-2011) and Associate Director Center for Demography and Ecology, University of Wisconsin-Madison (2004-2006).

He is a member of Editorial Board, Research in Social Stratification and Mobility, Sociological Association (Section on Poverty, Inequality, and Mobility), National Council for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Research.
