Iurii taught courses on foreign policy analysis, EU foreign policy, political regimes, post-Soviet studies, political sociology, and comparative political science at the European University in St. Petersburg, RANEPA, HSE St. Petersburg. Between 2018 and 2022 was a Research Fellow at the Laboratory for Public Policy Analysis. Was a Research Fellow at the Aleksanteri Institute (Finland) in 2019 and a Visiting Fellow at the European University Institute (Italy) in 2015.
Currently, he studies the foreign policy of the European Union and participates in research on the publication activity of Russian scientists using tools for parsing, analyzing, and visualizing data in R and Python. Academic interests relate to European studies, foreign policy analysis, EU foreign policy, and the dynamics of political regimes in the post-Soviet space, as well as public policy analysis, scraping, parsing, and quantitative analysis of data.
