David Woodruff graduated from Harvard in 1989 and completed his PhD at Berkley in 1996. He joined the Government Department of the LSE in 2006. He was previously an associate professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a visiting associate professor at Harvard University. David’s main research interest is politics and economics centering around two core capitalist institutions: money and corporate property rights. In this regard, he studies contemporary Russia and other emerging markets, capitalist institutions in a volatile international economic environment.
